Understand why Sasuke’s bandana was passed on to Boruto

Publicado por

The Leaf Village bandana became a very valuable object for Sasuke after he reconciled with Naruto. A few years later, Sasuke became master of Boruto Uzumaki, Naruto’s son, to whom he gave his precious bandana as a vote of confidence and recognition.

Why did Sasuke give his bandana to Boruto?

Sasuke’s bandana is not something Boruto wears all the time as one of his main accessories as he often wears his own bandana in the series. He only wears Sasuke’s bandana at times. Sasuke doesn’t usually wear his bandana either, but he always carries it. His bandana is a valuable object because it is a symbol of all his experience and history lived in Naruto.

After discovering that Sasuke is his father’s rival, Boruto asked him to become his master. As a master, Sasuke taught his disciple many things and also saw how much he matured over time. Seeing that his disciple was already a brave and mature shinobi, Sasuke got used to handing his bandana to Boruto at important moments.

Sasuke passing his bandana to Boruto

In chapter 49 of Boruto: Naruto Next Generation, Sasuke sets out to help Naruto face Isshiki, but he notices Boruto’s insecurity. His apprentice was afraid of having his body taken over by Momoshiki, so Sasuke promised to stop him even if he had to kill him. Since Naruto wouldn’t have the guts to do something like that, Sasuke took it upon himself to reassure Boruto.

Boruto borrowed Sasuke’s bandana in this battle, just like he did in the fight against Momoshiki. So Sasuke gladly handed over the bandana and asked Boruto to return it when they returned. Sasuke only handed over the bandana because he has full confidence in his disciple and believes that he is strong enough to overcome the challenges.

About the Boruto series

Boruto: Naruto Next Generations is a story that continues the events of Naruto Shippuden, where Kaguya Otsutsuki paved the way for a new extraterrestrial threat, expanding the franchise’s universe in an unimaginable way. This story has Boruto Uzumaki at the center, Naruto’s son, who is possessed by Momoshiki Otsutsuki and slowly has his body taken over and may become a threat.

Boruto begins with a flashforward, where an adult Boruto faces off against Kawaki while the Hidden Leaf Village is totally in ruins in the background. So far no one knows if Boruto is the villain of the story, as his body was slowly being taken over, and all clues point to the death of Naruto and Sasuke. The anime can be found complete on Crunchyroll. His manga has new chapters published every month by Shueisha.
